TwoTimer Posted July 1, 2012 Share #26 Posted July 1, 2012 Your best idea for anti 12-9 is to install radar like/infared motion devices on the roadbed in station limits that when large objects (like humans, but not small things like rats) break its plane, it drops the fixed signal or series of signals immediately outside the station to safely trip the train before it gets to enter, and obviously reclears the signal when such objects r removed from the roadbed. That was the best idea I could come up with, and it doesn't have to be systemwide, just in certain spots. The system can be manually deactivated in flagging areas. Tokkemon Posted July 1, 2012 Share #27 Posted July 1, 2012 So when someone's purse crosses the line the train will stop? Its a nice theory, but too much of a wildcard without causing delays I think.

Not a purse, I'm talking a large size like a suitcase, garbage can (both things can cause a train to go BIE if run over unless they're in the trough), or obviously a human. Not even a infant would trigger the system (unless its like a toddler's size).
