Manhattan: Train Loses Power Under Penn Station

A New Jersey Transit train carrying about 900 passengers was evacuated early yesterday after damage to overhead wires caused it to lose power while in a tunnel under Pennsylvania Station, the authorities said. No one was injured, and the passengers were moved to another train, a spokesman for New Jersey Transit said. The train, bound for Trenton, stopped about 12:45 a.m., the spokesman said.
