Keon Milton Posted July 5, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 5, 2012 It looks like an R142/R142A car on the outside, but unlike the R142/R142A cars, it'll probably have the FIND system installed inside.
m7zanr160s Posted July 5, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 5, 2012 So that's a brand new car, or a renumbered 142?
Dj Hammers Posted July 5, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted July 5, 2012 It looks like an R142/R142A car on the outside, but unlike the R142/R142A cars, it'll probably have the FIND system installed inside. It will not have a FIND system. It will have a strip map. This is to maintain trainline interoperability of the signage between R188s and R142/As So that's a brand new car, or a renumbered 142? It is a brand new car. Note the lack of decals and trucks.

NewFlyer 230 Posted July 6, 2012 Share #18 Posted July 6, 2012 There is no need to get all hyped it's not like the R142's don't look very similar. I was hoping it would be all black on the front and those converted R142's will remain with the red front.
The Real Posted July 9, 2012 Share #19 Posted July 9, 2012 That was posted erroneously. R188 7921 (the insert car) isn't expected to be delivered until October. It wasn't posted erroneously, it was posted with information from a Department of Subway source. Which has never lied to me about a car move or delivery.
