Shortline Bus Posted July 27, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2012 And that was a small part of this violent storm system. Much of NY state and Northeast was affected. 1) 61-year-old man was killed when lightning caused scaffolding at a Cobble Hill Brooklyn church to collapse on him during the storm. . 2)Torando in Elmira, NY(*west of Binghamton, NY) nearly 200 miles from NYC. 3)Metro North suspended service for while on Harlem Line between White Plains and Southeast/Wassic. 4)nearly 30,000 customers in Ducthess and Ulster Counties are in the dark. No electric power 5)Ditto for thousands more in Long Island, North Jersey and Fairfield County, Ct.

Joel Up Front Posted July 27, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 27, 2012 Maybe the parts of VS south of the LIRR, but the northern part took it well, other than the poor souls who live near horrible storm drains that always overflow.
