youngblaze Posted August 28, 2012 Share #26 Posted August 28, 2012 That is due to capacity. Soon those disgusting non M8s the M6 & M2/3/4 trash will be gone good riddance I honestly don't want to see em again. But then you won't have a RFW anymore lol
mark1447 Posted August 28, 2012 Share #27 Posted August 28, 2012 But then you won't have a RFW anymore lol Yeah the RFW days are coming to an end. I mean there are still some agencies out there who still order half cabs, which you still get an RFW. SEPTA with its new Silverliner 5, have half cabs, and you still get an RFW, but I heard they plan to make it full.

lilbluefoxie Posted September 7, 2012 Share #29 Posted September 7, 2012 But then you won't have a RFW anymore lol who cares? as long as it has seats and goes where it needs to go reliably. I've noticed that there are more M8's on the New Haven Line on weekends than on weekdays. probably to give the older trains a rest to have em last longer before they need to be replaced. Truckie Posted September 8, 2012 Share #30 Posted September 8, 2012 I've noticed that there are more M8's on the New Haven Line on weekends than on weekdays. There are more M8s on the weekends or you notice more because there are far fewer trains that run on the weekends?
Bracamonte Posted September 8, 2012 Author Share #31 Posted September 8, 2012 There are more M8s on the weekends or you notice more because there are far fewer trains that run on the weekends? On that day, there were a few old transets running, but the majority were M8's. According to the MTA's website, 60.5% of the line are M8's on Saturdays while 56.7% is on Sundays.
