Fan Railer Posted July 28, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted July 28, 2012 idk is it me or does that train look angry lol.. much better than that fugly Talgo thing or w/e though Reminds me of those SP1900 EMUs in Hong Kong. The trailing cab looks demonic with those rear tail lights on lolol.

mark1447 Posted July 28, 2012 Share #5 Posted July 28, 2012 Well finally Amtrak gets something good besides the acela. Yeah but only for the NEC services. Acela no. They will kill the AEM7/HHP8.
DanTheTransitMan Posted July 28, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 28, 2012 Yeah but only for the NEC services. Acela no. They will kill the AEM7/HHP8. I ment that the Acela is the only good looking train set that Amtrak has got in a while; everything else, the P40, AEM7, and HHP8 locomotives are unpleasing to the eye. Amtrak doesn't only have P40s, it also has P32s / P42s and many more Non-Genesis sets. Of course the Acela looks like a euro type car.

KeystoneRegional Posted July 30, 2012 Share #9 Posted July 30, 2012 Yeah but only for the NEC services. Acela no. They will kill the AEM7/HHP8. The AEM7's might see it's fate, the HHP8's are probably going to be sold for other use since their age are relatively young. I wouldn't necessarily say they're being killed, rather they're displaced. KeystoneRegional Posted August 1, 2012 Share #11 Posted August 1, 2012 Who would buy the HHP8? Its reliability is pathetic. From speculations and stuff, a South American nation or a regional transit system. Though yes, their reliability is poor, however I wouldn't label them as pathetic because I saw them rescue AEM7's in videos and on a train ride up the NHL. KeystoneRegional Posted August 2, 2012 Share #14 Posted August 2, 2012 Where else would it run? lol In addition to the North East Corridor, it will also serve the Keystone Corridor [which is currently run by AEM7's]. Thus the corridor that inspired my username, =]!
Engr08 Posted August 22, 2012 Share #15 Posted August 22, 2012 Who would buy the HHP8? Its reliability is pathetic. I love running the HHP's, they are very powerful engines and they use to be bad in the rain but now I havent had a problem with them. From what Ive heard they are constantly breaking down and in the shop.
KeystoneRegional Posted August 23, 2012 Share #16 Posted August 23, 2012 The HHP8's aren't as bad as the LIRR DE/DM30's at least, right?

lilbluefoxie Posted September 13, 2012 Share #19 Posted September 13, 2012 it looks better than the toaster and those electric locomotives they use in jersey that look like big doorstops.
Bustitution Posted September 14, 2012 Share #20 Posted September 14, 2012 I ment that the Acela is the only good looking train set that Amtrak has got in a while; everything else, the P40, AEM7, and HHP8 locomotives are unpleasing to the eye. Ever since they got rid of the Phase III Livery every amtrak rail vehicle on the NEC looks unappealing.
