Poor Chambers Street

Recommended Posts

I had to use the (J) train a few months ago and I was coming from the (4)(5) and refused to get off at the stop that transfers to this station because it so disgusting. This station along with the Bowery stop is just beyond ridiculous and what is the (MTA) doing about it? Quite frankly the communities that use this station and the Bowery should be really making a stink because this is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the (MTA) should be held accountable to keep up the stations that they rehab, because I remember very well when Canal Street was rehabbed and that station looks pretty nasty as well on the (J)(Z) line.

With some TLC this station could become one of the system's treasures. Instead it's a glorified garbage dump due to decades of poor (MTA) maitenance.
