I was originally thinking about how it is necessary because it is such a major transfer point. I then thought that the Lex-53rd Street suffers from the same issues and manages just fine. Speaking of major transfer points, Lex-53rd is definitely a biggie. It has people transferring to and from two of the four most crowded lines in the system.
