Brighton Line Question

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I just want to ask some of the train operators about the light gray boxes springing up between the local and express tracks at Neck Road Station on the (Q).

OT, but can someone explain the red and black needles on the brake pressure guage? Sorry if I spelled wrong.

Thanks! :)

On your first question, are you talking about this?

If this, then I think it's a 3rd-rail power box or some other equipment.

The second question I have no idea, so someone else should answer it for you.

Yep, it's similar to that but higher. I had a theory that CBTC was being installed on Brighton because ther was a little antenna.

Those boxes might be for the radio's Those might be repeaters. I see those boxes going to Far Rockaway. Nvr mind the 3rd rail heater thing.

Since radio reception is so bad in that area, they might be putting those up for the new system.
