Phantom909 Posted July 20, 2012 Share #101 Posted July 20, 2012 Do you hear yourself? "I'm not questioning his intelligence...but how'd he get in?" And what, you think he didn't pay tuition? Come on. Don't patronize me. You know exactly what you were bringing up there, even claiming he was a user is a stretch. This fictional president you have in mind seems fascinating. If he paid his tuition, thats fine, did someone pay it for him, id like to know. why doesnt he show it, unless he has something to hide Again you jump to conclusions, Obama admitted in his book that he used cocaine. I never called him an addict, you just jumped to another unfounded conclusion If its fictional, then refute the examples of his marxist, terrorist buddies that he associates with, which i cited examples in the MSNBC thread. And Im still waiting for your proof that the founders wanted big government. I dont mind your statements, but if you have nothing to back it up, or refute mine, theyre nothing but trash. Joe. cotb16 Posted July 26, 2012 Share #102 Posted July 26, 2012 In local political news, Bronx Councilman Larry Seabrook, was found guilty of corruption changes, including the infamous "$177 bagel receipt." This results in Seabrook giving up his seat and a special election will be held. Unlike state elections, where county parties select one candidate, the special City Council election is open for anyone. BTW, it is the 12th City Council district, covering the heavily-black areas of Co-op City, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Edenwald, Baychester, and Eastchester. http://www.ny1.com/content/top_stories/165549/seabrook-found-guilty-on-nine-corruption-charges
Shortline Bus Posted July 27, 2012 Author Share #103 Posted July 27, 2012 Back to The National Political News. Today 7/27/12 on day the world focuses on opening night at the London Olympics, Barack Obama might had one of his worst days as President. The so called "recovery" from the great recession ongoing since 2007, might be coming to a halt. Economic growth in the U.S. in 2nd Quarter of this year, slowed to 1.5% according to an Commerece Department report. I am far from an expert on business, but I do know this is a huge breakthru from Mitt Romney. As i said before while on paper Obama should easily beat Romney, the economy/jobs stats can crush the current President plans for another 4 years. Reactions? "The United States economy grew by a tepid 1.5 percent annual rate in the second quarter, losing the momentum it had appeared to be gaining earlier this year, the government reported Friday. Growth was curbed as consumers limited new spending and as business investment slowed in the face of a global slowdown and a stronger dollar. Several bright spots in the first quarter, including auto production, computer sales, housing and large purchases like appliances and televisions, dimmed or faded away altogether in the second quarter. The sluggishness of the recovery makes the United States more vulnerable to trouble in Europe and increases the likelihood of more stimulus from the Federal Reserve, which has lowered its forecasts in recent weeks. It also illustrates the election-season challenge to President Obama, who must sell his economic record to voters as the recovery slows." http://www.nytimes.c...te.html?_r=
Tokkemon Posted July 27, 2012 Share #104 Posted July 27, 2012 What recovery? Gas and food costs are through the roof. People are not spending their cash on anything else. And the Holiday bump is long gone. Nothing surprising if you ask me. BTW, Gallup has the two statistically tied at 46% in polling right now. http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx
Phantom909 Posted July 28, 2012 Share #105 Posted July 28, 2012 Lets look at the employment data: The US population now is 314.0 million people, there are 114.0 million taxpayers, there are 12.5 million officially unemployed, actual unemployed (that is the total unemployed, plus people who are underemployed, that is people working part time when they need full time, and people who have dropped out o the workforce because their benefits ran out) is 23.0 million, the US workforce is 143.7 million. 4 years ago here are those stats, US population was 304.5 million, US taxpayers were 108.2 million, there were 9.6 million officially unemployed, actual unemployed was 13.5 million, US workforce was 144.5 million so in 4 years we have gained 9.5 million in population, 5.8 million in taxpayers added 2.9 million to the official unemployed, added 9.5 million to the actual unemployed, and lost 800,000 in the workforce. Those numbers are frankly abysmal. Now ask yourself is Obama an economic moron? IMO he is not, he is very intelligent. The bottom line is this, Obama is anti private sector. His socialist mindset is that the government is the answer to everything.Just look at his socialist statement 2 weeks ago when he said that if you have a successful business, you didnt build it. Now I know hes backtracked saying he meant the bridges and roads, but hes forgetting that bridges and roads are paid for by all of us, these are not gifts from the benevolent big government he dreams of. This is part of the civil society, that has done things like educate, build infrastructure, and let us be free to pursue our own happiness. If Obama wants to give government credit for building roads and bridges that built successful private business, will he take blame for all the businesses that failed on those same roads, or will he blame the government for building Alameda Ave. and Centerpointe Ave in Aurora, CO, because those are the roads that that scumbag (I refuse to say his name) drove on to get to the Century16 theater and shoot 70 people, killing 12. Mitt Romney is not an ideal candidate, but if you still want to vote for Obama, IMO you are either an idiot or a socialist. f you want big government to run your lives just remember the quote from benjamin franklin "Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary security, deserve neither liberty or safety" Joe

Nah, it wouldnt be entertaining, Ill tell you who Id love to debate, since Obama would never debate someone like me unless he had a favorable moderator throwing up softball questions to him, I would love to debate someone like David Axelrod or Rahm Emmanuel, with the moderator being Michael Buffer. Shortline Bus Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share #116 Posted August 1, 2012 Shifting to other news. Fla. Sen. Rubio you may soon a clone tea party supported consertative Latino joining you in the US Senate. Ted Cruz has just won the GOP US Senate Primary in Texas for chance to replace retiring Moderate Kay Bailey Hutchison. Cruz 'upset" Gov. Rick Perry 'handpicked' selection as Hutchison's replacement David Dewhurst. Thus Cruz the former Texas state Solictor General is now a strong favorite to win the seat and become Rubio twin as 40-year old-plus Senators with possible future as a Presidential or VP Canadaite. Guys it may in Texas but now Cruz assuming he wins in GOP strong hold Texas now a major player in Washington for the Tea Party agenda! Also if Gov. Romney wants to win the white house the tea party and consertatives as a whole must come out in droves in November. reactions. http://trailblazersb...e-runoffs.html/

I'm not surprised with this result. It's not a surprised that there would be such negative reaction to Perry's "handpicked" selection.
JubaionBx12+SBS Posted August 3, 2012 Share #118 Posted August 3, 2012 Romney really messed himself up with those gaffes on his foreign fundraiser trip. He calls out London's Olympic preparation, glamorizes Anglo-Saxon heritage in a seemingly racist comment, calls out Palestinians saying that Isreal's ecomonic strength is due to being more cultured than their Arab neighbors and last but not least his press secretary explodes telling a reporter to "kiss my ass" at a Polish war memorial. If this dude keeps it up I see a landslide win for Obama.

Grand Concourse Posted August 3, 2012 Share #120 Posted August 3, 2012 Plus all the news reports about London being short on security and the traffic nightmares, Romney was guilty of stating the obvious. God forbid Obama were to say the same thing about how ill prepared London was... Those Brits were all uptight over nothing. National pride my foot, Romney saw the problems and made a comment about it. Of course the media would blow it out of proportion because they are in bed with the Obama administration. Only US citizens can vote, so what does 'misspeak' like that matter when the economy is still the main issue?
Phantom909 Posted August 3, 2012 Share #121 Posted August 3, 2012 again, just the media cooking up something for obama. the british government called in 18,000 troops for security because the company hired to do security didnt have enough. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/334980/18-000-troops-for-Olympic-security/ as for the israeli\palestinian comment where was the medias outrage when obama insulted the polish people by calling auschwitz a "Polish death camp". and for his aide telling reporters to "kiss his ass" , the reporters were shouting questions at a solemn site, The tomb of Poland`s Unknown Soldier" the reporters deserved it, they showed no respect at such an important place. sometimes the truth hurts, most of the media is so in bed with obama, its disgraceful. Shortline Bus Posted August 8, 2012 Author Share #122 Posted August 8, 2012 Guys a question? With Olympics about to end in a couple of days and the important US elections back in the headlines dealing with the race for the white house. Trying to be "objective" (including you MHV lol)and you were paid a $1 Million to help make his selection, who who should Mitt Romney pick as his VP running mate? And not be a fail IMO such as both Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle? Remember the GOP convention is fast approaching this time being held in Tampa Bay. On other hand the Democratic Covention is being held the first week of Sept. in Charlotte, NC. The convention will take place at both the Time Warner Arena home of the NBA Bobcats and NFL Panthers NFL stadium.
