RollOver Posted August 20, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2012 I need help to know how many trains run on the and the three shuttles during middays, evenings, nights, and weekends. I already know how many trains run during rush hours. Tell me how many trains run at all other periods in NYCS. Please and thanks.
trainfan22 Posted August 20, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 20, 2012 You could have just said the entire subway system rather typing out all those smiles lol. As for your question, the Frankin Shuttle only runs one train in the overnight hours. The TS shuttle runs zero trains during the overnight, same goes for the and lines. RollOver Posted August 20, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted August 20, 2012 I heard that the SIR only runs 2-car trains at night, but how many trainsets and segments? Also I don't need to know about the lines that don't run at night.
Y2Julio Posted August 20, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 20, 2012 The 2 car train is seasonal on SIRTOA. Late nights it's two 2 car trains; or two 4 car trains. Non-rush peak hours, four 4 car trains. Rush hour I can't recall off the top of my head.

They did that around that time I was in high school, but I'm not sure if they still do.
Y2Julio Posted August 20, 2012 Share #6 Posted August 20, 2012 During the AM rush, they sometimes use 5-car trains on the SIR. They did that around that time I was in high school, but I'm not sure if they still do. Only two of the AM runs use 5 car trains, all others use 4. I never got to run one of those 5 car sets. RollOver Posted August 26, 2012 Author Share #16 Posted August 26, 2012 @j express I thought the Lefferts Blvd Shuttle has 4-car trains of 75 footers at night. Was it extended to 6?..Just asking.
j express Posted August 26, 2012 Share #17 Posted August 26, 2012 I don't think it was extended to 6 but I saw videos of the Lefferts Blvd Shuttle using 4 R46 cars so I think it still uses 4 cars
