pelhamlocal Posted August 21, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2012 Apparently the front of the train, was damaged so badly it took out almost completey the first most sets of doors on both sides, making it, in my opinion in to an R39

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted August 21, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 21, 2012 How does something like a train get that much damage? Drove into a huge rock? Well apparently this accident was in the yard, so I think it hit something or rear-ended another train pretty badly

NYCRailfan523 Posted August 30, 2012 Share #16 Posted August 30, 2012 Good thing the train was in the yard, and not in passenger service or else there would be lots of fatalities.

Bill from Maspeth Posted September 16, 2012 Share #18 Posted September 16, 2012 3990/91 were hit from behind by an R1/9 very early in life. That car was on the s/b express track at Church Ave. laid up and for whatever reason was hit. Naturally the R1/9 "won".
