NJ Transit increases patrols, inspections to keep bus system safe

"No, we have not seen that," NJ Transit Police Chief Christopher Trucillo said. "But we have got to be forward-thinking, and we look at what goes on in other parts of the world."

How about they use their resources wisely and focus on the front lines. How is this going to stop an operator from getting beat or even killed? They have money to do this, yet say they can't afford fareboxes or even op shields for those depots that need them. Just another attempt to allow the public to believe they're actually doing something to combat crime.
