TheSubwayStation Posted August 27, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 27, 2012 As a convenience to everyone (this should come in handy for the What If? thread), I'll post the weekday TPH for every subway line in this convenient place. Note: all information is as of December 2011. I know that the in particular has received service increases since then. TheSubwayStation Posted August 27, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted August 27, 2012 Gorgor already posted it inside the thread. Just sayin', Hmmm...His calculations are different from mine: Trains Per Hour (tph) Chart: I just thought that I'd post a handy chart with the listings of trains per hour (tph). These numbers are taken from the busiest service time, mainly the AM rush. I'm pretty sure my calculations are right, maybe off by 1, but it's a nice and handy thing to use. - 20tph - 12tph - 10tph - 12tph - 18tph - 20tph - 25tph - 18tph - 6tph - 12tph - 10tph - 10tph - 12tph - 8tph - 10tph - 8tph - 8tph - 7tph - 12tph (combined) - 18tph http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/topic/30996-subway-what-if/page__st__800

NX Express Posted August 27, 2012 Share #8 Posted August 27, 2012 The is at least 18 TPH at morning rush, and at least 15 TPH at evening rush... Yeah, your calculations for the are way off... While there is a brief interval of 18-tph service in the morning, it's usually smaller than that. IIRC it's close to 14-15 tph in the peak of the AM rush. Threxx Posted August 27, 2012 Share #9 Posted August 27, 2012 Where did you hear that?? Look at the schedule, 16-17 TPH is more of a reasonable estimate.
Gorgor Posted August 27, 2012 Share #10 Posted August 27, 2012 Where did you hear that?? I don't know why you used the 2011 schedules when the latest 2012 ones can be found online. During the AM rush, northbound trains run every 3-4 minutes.

Hmmm...Now I'm looking at this site instead:http://boerumhillscott.com/transit/TripsFromStation.php It shows about 9 TPH northbound on the from Rockaway Blvd...That's obviously wrong. I don't know why...

Alargule Posted August 28, 2012 Share #13 Posted August 28, 2012 Hmm...are these average intervals? E.g. the B and D trains: I can't imagine how such frequencies (8.6 vs 10) could possibly be synchronised on the segments where those lines share tracks...
