Trains to Montauk before the bi-levels

WRONG, C1s were only used on the Port Jefferson line since it was at the time, the only diesel line with all high level platforms. P72s and GP38s were used on Montauk trains.

Sorry, the actual coaches were the Pullman P72 conventional coaches (individual HEP underneath each car), and the push-pull with either an MP15AC, FA, F7, or F9 converted to HEP Cab with MP72, MP75 (formerly self-propelled MU Cars) as the coaches.
