Eric B Posted September 4, 2012 Share #26 Posted September 4, 2012 You would think the next line to get CBTC would be the (IND line "E"), which connects to both Culver and Queens Blvd on both ends. That's what I assumed the Culver CBTC project was apart of. It's the next "isolated" like after the and . I don't understand how they would jump this to the busiest mainlines, all of a sudden. BM5 via Woodhaven Posted September 4, 2012 Share #27 Posted September 4, 2012 what they should do is just have the replace the at night, who gives a shit if the riders whine, it serves no purpose to have the run on 6th ave and 63rd st in both directions anyway, this is why they need to use their brains, I rerember when the replaced the in 2001 when they closed 53rd st and these riders whent apeshit all because the was a local so eversince then they never really took the OOS and replaced it with another line during the 53rd st GO's You gotta be kidding me The doesn't run in Manhattan and Queens at Night, Genuis. on 8 Avenue and to Jamaica Center, yeah that's not happening. Those riders have all the reason to go apeshit, ready: BECAUSE THE DAMN DOESNT RUN THERE!!
T to Dyre Avenue Posted September 4, 2012 Share #28 Posted September 4, 2012 The "Line D" in Art's post refers to the Queens IND's chaining code, not the D train... Oh, Line D, not the D line. I got it. Implementing CBTC on the Queens Blvd line will be a big project. I think it will definitely be more challenging than doing it on the isolated and lines.
