The Real Posted August 31, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2012 This is not a code break...I rode this in service from Co-Op City to Pelham Bay, Enjoy!
DanTheTransitMan Posted August 31, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2012 Why would they put an artic on the 29? It doesn't get a huge amount of service.
mark1447 Posted August 31, 2012 Share #3 Posted August 31, 2012 To bad not to City Island tho. But don't think it can handle that turn all the way at the end of the Island. Good pixs tho!
The Real Posted August 31, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2012 Actually it can handle the U-turn without a problem...

Cait Sith Posted August 31, 2012 Share #6 Posted August 31, 2012 They look good on that Bx29....I would've loved to have seen the reactions from them passengers. Excellent pics! Wow. Has an artic ever been on the island? Other than when the 1200s were testing, I'm pretty sure every once in a while.

Guest MTA Bus Posted August 31, 2012 Share #8 Posted August 31, 2012 I always wondered why the Bx29 didn't get artics sooner. Nice pictures
Quill Depot Posted August 31, 2012 Share #9 Posted August 31, 2012 The first one is great. I feel artics can do a U-turn
Blitz Posted August 31, 2012 Share #10 Posted August 31, 2012 What it it about your camera that makes these buses look so clean and new? Being that it's a Bronx bus, and at night, I naturally assume that its filthy...

aemoreira81 Posted September 1, 2012 Share #12 Posted September 1, 2012 My reaction when I saw this on FB last night is that this had to be a codebreak. But now that I know that it isn't...why not extend and combine the Bx12 Local with the Bx29? This would be a good way to save money.

Not sure if City Islanders would want so many buses down the Island. Unless they short turn some Bx12s to Pelham Bay. But then again, they will lose direct Bay Plaza access, sometimes I see the Bx29 filled up from coming out of the Island and people stick on it to Bay Plaza. youngblaze Posted September 2, 2012 Share #15 Posted September 2, 2012 Hmmmm now it makes me wonder if an artic can handle the u-turn up on 263rd and Riverdale Avenue Nvm, after some research the turning radius on the d60 is a lot tighter than that of an NG.
