Metro Posted September 3, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 3, 2012 Looks like the Metrobus is a lot better than SBS. The best differences youll see are: Stations and Dedicated Busways separated by bumps. Youll also see video cameras (a priority), longer, more efficient, and much less expensive. Plus, the fare is about 42 cents (to them its like $5) I dont think im allowed to post lnks to spanish websites, but check it out on your own. S79 Select bus servi Posted October 6, 2012 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2012 Travel times have halved and total 4 route ridership is nearly half a million Other cities were nspired by this. Its like a Light Rail with better stations and no rails.
theaveragejoe Posted October 12, 2012 Share #4 Posted October 12, 2012 Only sad thing about some of these Metrobus routes in Mexico city has been the death of some of the trolley bus routes.
S79 Select bus servi Posted October 26, 2012 Share #5 Posted October 26, 2012 Ridership is expected to be 1.5 Million on the 10 routes when all routes are finished. Metrobus serves the middle class, unlike in NYC (or at least SI) The lower class is served by unlicensed private bus companies that are unsafe. This type of transit is very insecure, but these buses attempt to travel the fastest to compete amongst themselves and are usually greatly packed.
