MHV9218 Posted September 9, 2012 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2012 There was some bizarre weather today, not sure if anybody was around Gowanus but 9th around 2nd-ish was about a foot and a half deep in water. This one truck went by and splashed water about 10 feet up, landed on top of the bus passing on the other side...wouldn't have wanted to be walking there. Shortline Bus Posted September 9, 2012 Share #11 Posted September 9, 2012 Was a down tree in Canarsie, hit close to home for me... Canarise was 'ground zero' for Saturday's twister in Brooklyn. My neck of the woods in Hudson Valley, just bad t-storms.
KeystoneRegional Posted September 13, 2012 Share #12 Posted September 13, 2012 Bleh, nothing exciting happens on Long Island. Queens and Brooklyn are geographically/technically on Long Island so yeah... Two tornadoes hit this Geographical Long Island, one is Queens and one in Brooklyn. Either ways this time Brooklyn got the worse one, Queens didn't, but really Queens got hit pretty hard previously in 2010, many trees were gone and buildings were damaged...
