pjbr40 Posted September 16, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2012 I was on New York bound at 11 near Newark Penn station. We all know all trains arrived on Track 1 or 2 to go to New York. Today for unkown reason it arrived on Track 1A. The track that never been used for pick up or drop passengers. This is first time i been on train that arrived on track 1A. i was scanning that area since i got the window seat on the left side. I saw nothing going on the track until i saw one worker in orange vest was hanging out near the switch track next to the bridge. Any reason what the cause to use track 1A? Snowblock Posted October 10, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 10, 2012 Tk A is a valid track for making train stops, and trains stop there every day. It doesn't get used much because that platform is separate from the rest of the station, and because 1/2 have direct connections to the PATH.
