Kudos to NothEasternT/O for pulling my coat..

 

Spotted going SouthBound at 168th Street..

 

South Motor 4536 with the Mis-matched Pair 4460-4665 in the 5th and 6th Cars..

 

Make that Two R40M Sets on the (A)pple another South Motor 4536...

 

So its out and about so if anybody wants to go and get for pictures happy hunting!!!:cool::cool::cool:

I know one went to the Rockaways, dunno about the other.

 

A friend of mine just recently went to look for them and then I got a call from another friend saying one made its way to the Rockaways.

 

ha that will be cool to see slants on (A)

Seen two (both?) sets this PM going uptown on 8th ave...one of them was running light I think. Didn't get car #'s but it WAS R40M's not R42's...

The R40aM (non slant) aren't going away for a few months at least, they are the youngest of the R40 fleet. I wouldn't be shocked if i saw em around xmas time.

Yeah, they're going to be around for alot longer. The MTA has plans for those things.

That's true, R40m's are the youngest because they were delivered the last. They currently run on (:P.

How about some R40 slants on the (A), and the (:P can get the R32 cars in exchange?

 

There are probably 2-4 10 car sets of slants by now, they won't make it to be transfered if they are shifting the equipment around, but it'd be nice to give em one last shuffle.

So i guess this is really it. By september no more slants. I am really glad they moved the blunties (non-slanties:D) to a different line, i was starting to get bummed!

The (A) is really becoming a mix bag these days, with the R32 cars, R38s, R40M cars, R42, and the 75 foot R44 cars. What if the (A) borrowed some R68s from the (D) or (Q)? Probably won't happen, though.
