pjbr40 81 #1 Posted September 30, 2012 Does anyone know why there is two routes split between Secaucus Junction and Ridgewood? I am referring to one train go toward Rutherford and the other go to Kingsland then meet together at Ridgewood. How this happen and why?

Then as the towns along the line got built up, eventually passenger service grew on that line.
Snowblock 3,488 #3 Posted October 10, 2012 The current Main line is not the original one. It used to connect into the Montclair line. Also note that the Bergen line used to run through Croxton yard, and was reconfigured when Secaucus opened.
