Question From a Friend: NYCT called, do I go with Transit or stay with MTAB

A very good friend wants me to post this question for any of you guys who have some input on the matter. He really doesn't know too many NYCT employees. Any input would really be appreciated.

 

I'm currently an MTA Bus operator at top pay and with weekends off. New York City Transit called with a bus operator spot for me in transit.

 

Should I stay with MTA Bus or go with NYCT?

If he like where he is at MTA Bus, then stay. If he goes to NYCT, he will lose all his seniority. That and he will drop back to starting pay.

I think its like staring all over again. how old is he? If he's young then make the move but if dosen't have that much time left then its not worth it.

I suggest he should stay with MTA Bus.

I think he should stay with MTAB, if he leaves he would have to start everything over from the pay scale,probation and ect.

He's at least 35 or little older. I sent him a link to this thread. I'm hoping he joins up.

I strongly suggest he stay where he is unless if he has the money to sustain a switch and a start over.
