Tech And Transit Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1252 Posted September 6, 2014 Here is my question: R62A R160A R160B R188 R160A is the only train with sets coupled in 4 cars?
MTA Dude Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1253 Posted September 6, 2014 R188 is the only one without a similar car with the same number code.
Orion V 9441 Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1254 Posted September 6, 2014 None of the answers so far are correct. Don't think specifically, think generally about car formations.
MTA Dude Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1255 Posted September 6, 2014 R188 is the only one that (as of now) is only coupled with a total of 11 car sets?
Orion V 9441 Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1256 Posted September 6, 2014 Not the answer. Think about the fleets as a whole. I will give this another hour before giving the answer.
realizm Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1257 Posted September 6, 2014 I'll give it a shot but not sure if this is the answer: The R188 is the only fleet with conversion C cars in the following arrangement for a 11 car set = A-C-B-B-A + A-C-B-B-B-A. None of the other fleets share this coupling arrangement even the R62A sets on the 7 even though its still 11 cars. If I got it I pass someone else can go. Orion V 9441 Posted September 6, 2014 Share #1258 Posted September 6, 2014 Not the answer. The answer I was looking for was that the R160Bs are the only rolling stock that have only one formation that they are arranged in (5 car sets). All of the others are arranged in multiple formations (R62: 5 car sets and single cars, R160A: 4 car sets and 5 car sets and R188: 5 car sets and 6 car sets). I pass. Fresh Pond Posted September 7, 2014 Share #1263 Posted September 7, 2014 Bedford-Nostrand doesn't belong. Since the other stations has a middle track that is in revenue service. I screwed up the question, Burnside Av was supposed to be Woodside (thought I fixed that), but you were still right regardless

Fresh Pond Posted September 8, 2014 Share #1274 Posted September 8, 2014 Close enough. Its Wilson Av since that's the only station actually ABOVE sea level. Although 125 St is outside, the station itself is about 50 feet below sea level Your turn
