Union Tpke Posted September 28, 2014 Share #1381 Posted September 28, 2014 South Ferry and 72nd street are not extremities in the system (Wakefield is extreme north and 179th extreme east.) Far Rockaway has been the Extreme East since it opened, previously it was 179th. BTW Bay Ridge is the extreme West. Correct. Your turn. Yeah. Wrong I would have said that had the mistake not been there.

MTA Dude Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1390 Posted September 29, 2014 Astoria is the only line that doesn't split to another line? It's Astoria but not for that reason. It has something about splitting. Think about end to end, and the services that serve the line, and examine from head to toe.
RollOver Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1391 Posted September 29, 2014 The Astoria Line merges with the 60th Street Connection (or should I at least say Queens Blvd local tracks) to become the Broadway Line into Manhattan?
MTA Dude Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1392 Posted September 29, 2014 You're getting colder... End to end, and the lines that run on it.
RollOver Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1393 Posted September 29, 2014 The and have the same terminals at both ends, but use different tracks in both Manhattan & Brooklyn (or should I at least say, a different corridor in Brooklyn).
MTA Dude Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1394 Posted September 29, 2014 The and have the same terminals at both ends, but use different tracks in both Manhattan & Brooklyn (or should I at least say, a different corridor in Brooklyn). It is Astoria and Astoria only. Only about Astoria.
RollOver Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1395 Posted September 29, 2014 The and swap cars at the aforementioned terminal - with one of them becoming the other as it heads back to Manhattan, similar to the & swap at Flatbush.

RollOver Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1398 Posted September 29, 2014 Okay, so it's that an express track on the Astoria corridor begins from the Astoria terminal itself and then re-merges with the outer local tracks south of 39th Avenue? MTA Dude Posted September 29, 2014 Share #1399 Posted September 29, 2014 Still isn't it. Think about the end to end of the line, what lines serve it, and what corridors those lines serve on that particular line.
pjbr40 Posted September 30, 2014 Share #1400 Posted September 30, 2014 There no switch tracks in the middle between the two end.? (once you on the middle track you can get off somewhere in the middle)
