Noflexdont Posted October 15, 2012 Share #26 Posted October 15, 2012 I think LGA FR and JFK are the only depots with Black-backed OGs left.....all NYCT, BP and SC's OGs are all white-backed.... i know for a fact that at fresh pond we have a few. Three NYCT O7 OG hybrids still have black backs: 6490, 6701, and 6895. (All active CNGs O7s have white backs.)
Quill Depot Posted October 15, 2012 Share #29 Posted October 15, 2012 I've noticed that they've been using these for the MTAB express routes lately: I've been seeing those in construction spots. Strange.

Do we have a running thread to the remaining black-backed OGs left system wide, like we did for the RTSs?
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted October 15, 2012 Share #31 Posted October 15, 2012 I've been seeing those in construction spots. Strange. There's nothing strange about them... Those are temporary and used when permanent bus stops are moved during construction. Once the construction is over they're taken down and the regular stops are put up. Guest MTA Bus Posted October 16, 2012 Share #33 Posted October 16, 2012 The Q52 does end in Elmhurst, so that's not a mistake.

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted October 16, 2012 Author Share #35 Posted October 16, 2012 The Mistake on the signs are that it says Rockaway Park on the Q21 slot. The Q52 does terminate in Elmhurst, that part is still Elmhurst to clear up everything.
Fresh Pond Posted October 17, 2012 Share #36 Posted October 17, 2012 WRONG!!!JG has got 7596,o7CNG,plus its a black back. Actually, 7596 HAD the black back on it. They shipped that one out for overhaul months ago and now it has the new scheme on it.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted October 18, 2012 Author Share #37 Posted October 18, 2012 How was the NYCDOT incorrectly putting the signs there. It would be a blessing if all old NYCDOT bus signs get replaced with the current bus signs. At least with the newer ones you get to a least know what direction the bus is traveling in. I hope next in Jamaica and Flushing the MTAB signs get replaced. Well some MTABC routes have the NYCT Signs, but I know there are those Q25/Q34 stops that look like they are going to fall apart. Lennyj17 Posted October 19, 2012 Share #39 Posted October 19, 2012 For the last time, those are DOT signs... Relax...They're all DOT signs....Saying NYCT is just giving you the distinction on which type of sign he's talking about..since all NYCT routes have the newer signs... BM5 via Woodhaven Posted October 19, 2012 Author Share #40 Posted October 19, 2012 Some of you should this, but a Q38 bus sign was replace with the lolipop ones at 69 and Eliot Avenue for a while now.
Mtatransit Posted October 21, 2012 Share #41 Posted October 21, 2012 The Q52 does end in Elmhurst, so that's not a mistake. That Q52 sign is at hoffman drive. Buses that stop at hoffman drive don't end at Elmhurst, they go to Averne. Maybe DOT don't have signs that say averne
