It's about time MTA makes more than a token move

[float=left]post-5097-0-89495300-1351256821_thumb.jpg[/float]No tokens? No kidding. The “No Tokens” display on turnstile screens — a mildly irritating symbol of bureaucratic inertia — is finally about to completely disappear, the (MTA) says.

 

The (MTA) is implementing new software that provides much more useful and current information: the date your seven- or 30-day MetroCard expires. The heads-up will appear when you swipe your card to pay the fare. (Regular MetroCards users already get their balance information.)

Really, It's not that big of a problem… If someone wants to check their balance they can go to the station booth or any other machine that shows the remaining card value.

 

Unless you're at Penn, or Main Street.
