That Facebook pic you shared of sharks in a subway isn't real

6/16/2012

Remember that old saying that if something is too good to be true, it probably is? It's usually right on. Take a fake photo that has been shared nearly 20,000 times on Facebook today. It's a two-week old digitally altered image of a flooded Toronto subway station, in which some merry pranksterinserted sharks. People, look at the photo. There are security dudes in the left part of the image standing in maybe ankle-deep water. There are legs of commuters clearly visible. The water goes up to the third step of the escalator. And most important: It's a photo of sharks. In a subway station. Sigh ... this is your Internet people.

Sharks in the subway? What's next? Whales on the bus?

That was a terrible joke, I know.

First off, this is NOT my picture. It was on Facebook however, and I want to know if anyone knows anything about it.
