Fresh Pond Posted May 28, 2014 Share #626 Posted May 28, 2014 So how often do these things run? I have yet to ride one (let alone see one in person lol) and I'm probably one of the few fans of those buses...idk, I thought they had potential... In most cases, during the rush hour on the various PABT routes and sometimes the Jersey City routes.
Cait Sith Posted May 31, 2014 Author Share #628 Posted May 31, 2014 This one was out in Jersey City, 7211 was out as well. The only two out today.
DaTransitMan4608 Posted June 10, 2014 Share #629 Posted June 10, 2014 7201 was out earlier this evening. It did a 139 Union Hill short-turn, and then headed back up to the city. Something was up with the sign though. It kept flashing "SIGN #17".

Orion VII 4 Life Posted February 28, 2015 Share #637 Posted February 28, 2015 Was waiting for that to happen. Now will the feds let them order 15 or whatever more MCIs to replace them? They said the doors blew open at high speeds causing the bus to brake from the door interlock. Joke of a bus, good thing they never got the full order. Otherwise, they'll be back on the road. I've been hearing that they'll be contacting EPV to amend repairs for those buses, as folks from EPV will be heading to Howell to inspect and repair buses accordingly. MTA Bus Posted July 31, 2015 Share #641 Posted July 31, 2015 So will they be finally mothballed, despite being bought with federal funds? They aren't being retired. NJT has to keep them in service since it was brought with Federal Funds.

GojiMet86 Posted February 16, 2016 Share #649 Posted February 16, 2016 Those sold are now part of Transit Systems in California, numbered in the #1400s. A member of the Bus Lounge of FB posted his delivery of those buses cross country. Pretty fun.
