[float=left][/float]Hurricane Sandy knocked out mass transit, but she won’t derail the first MTA fare-hike hearing.

 

The hearing is set for Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Brooklyn Marriott at 333 Adams St.

 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has released four different fare-hike schemes, but the agency’s board can make changes before adopting a final package in December.

Of course, hold a hearing when there's still a lot of people with limited or no transit service so less people show up.

Only Long Island Public hearing was the only hearing that got postpone and well as video recording public hearing at 3 Stone St.

While they got federal help no doubt, I wonder how much money management lost during and after the storm in lost fares and tolls, systemwide.
