The gas crisis has prompted an orgy of personal ads on the Web from revved-up guys offering fuel for sex.

 

"What would you do for a free tank of gas?" read one of more than a dozen similar Craigslist ads.

 

"Send your pics and info along with why I should give it to you."

That is really taking advantage of people who are suffering by waiting in line for gasoline because the deliveries aren't coming in time.

Haha, something you don't see everyday. Thankfully I've been only giving my car some healthy cold starts and just been taking the agonizing MTA. Though I know the recovery is hard, just not liking to wake up 2 hours earlier then I usually do.

True, but many of these areas are served by the MTA or NJT and even though they are still doing damage control, they are slowly coming back, and I would take the MTA instead of dealing with this chaos.

This gas situation is bringing the worst out in people. Seen a news report where a guy intentionally hit a cop with his car because the officer told him to get out of the line because he was blocking a driveway. and now people offering sex for fuel. its past the point of ridiculous

For one, sometimes the MTA is more inconvenient rather than driving to work/school.

 

I for one rather drive to Queens when I worked up there then a 2 hour train ride with a bus transfer at Queens. It wasn't worth it in my opinion.

you can't force people to use public transit if they don't want to. If I'm going to the post office with my ebay sales, unless i absiolty HAVE to, I'm not draging them on the subway or the bus
