FamousNYLover Posted November 14, 2012 Share #26 Posted November 14, 2012 Actually, M4 has same relief point with M5, M11 at 135th St/Broadway. 133rd St/Broadway is longer relief point for MHV.

nostalgia Posted November 14, 2012 Share #30 Posted November 14, 2012 i think i asked this question earlier when they relieve does the change happen at the terminal/point or the garage and do they come in a car to the relief spot If the relief point is NOT at the garage, the operator takes public transportation if the point isn't close to the depot or walks a few blocks to the relief point. trainfan22 Posted November 14, 2012 Share #31 Posted November 14, 2012 How does the original B/O, who is going off duty, get back to the depot to pick up his stuff? With the B8 reliefs at 18th Ave/86th Street, the B/O takes the train back to JG depot, or ride a VA hospital bound B8 that's on its last run of the day back to JG. Grand Concourse Posted November 16, 2012 Share #32 Posted November 16, 2012 Add B41 to Bergen Beach at Av N That is the spot. I refer to it as Av P because it's closer on that side than Av N (gridline fail because of the streets lined up b/w Gerritsen and Flatbush than continuing the 'correct' pattern), but that's another topic. Q43LTD Posted November 16, 2012 Share #33 Posted November 16, 2012 I thought the B41 relief point would be at the Utica/Flatbush stop
Grand Concourse Posted November 16, 2012 Share #34 Posted November 16, 2012 Not sure, but most of the time I see the switch happen at Flatbush and Av N/Av P, just before the branches split.

nostalgia Posted November 17, 2012 Share #36 Posted November 17, 2012 I thought the B41 relief point would be at the Utica/Flatbush stop I don't know how much it happens but after I rode a B41 to Bergen Beach, it went out of service to Kings Plaza and then came out as B47. CDTA Posted November 17, 2012 Share #41 Posted November 17, 2012 I have NEVER seen an M10 relief at 116th, and I took that bus almost every day to get to school.
nostalgia Posted November 17, 2012 Share #42 Posted November 17, 2012 I have NEVER seen an M10 relief at 116th, and I took that bus almost every day to get to school. Q43LTD Posted November 17, 2012 Share #43 Posted November 17, 2012 I just looked at the B47 map. The route goes from Kings Plaza to Woodhull Hospital via Ralph Avenue. I know that. I'm saying that they can't be interlined now since they're from different depots
Grand Concourse Posted November 17, 2012 Share #44 Posted November 17, 2012 I just looked at the B47 map. The route goes from Kings Plaza to Woodhull Hospital via Ralph Avenue. Your map is way out of date. Ever since Grand Av depot opened, the B47 was moved there. The B41 interlines with the B46 IIRC.
checkmatechamp13 Posted November 17, 2012 Share #45 Posted November 17, 2012 Your map is way out of date. Ever since Grand Av depot opened, the B47 was moved there. The B41 interlines with the B46 IIRC. How is it out of date? The B47 still runs that route, but just out of a different depot.
Grand Concourse Posted November 17, 2012 Share #46 Posted November 17, 2012 Ok, the map is right, but I meant his information about the B47 interlined with the B41 is out of date.* Why would a driver/bus from another depot be doing handling/be on the route of another depot? If the B47 was still from FB, then what he said makes sense. But unless it's some school tripper, it doesn't happen at all because FB has nothing to do with the B47 at all. Q43LTD Posted November 17, 2012 Share #47 Posted November 17, 2012 Before the M10 was cut back to Lincoln Center, the relief point was W42nd and 7th Avenue. The M10 terminates at Columbus Circle. That relief point was probably when it was with West Side (now Quill)
