Mr Railfan Posted November 16, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2012 Interesting Metro Australia advertisement warning people not to do dumb things to die - like stand next to the platform edge. Certainly is a lot different from the regular ads we see the MTA put out on the same subject. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJNR2EpS0jw&feature=player_embedded
peacemak3r Posted November 16, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2012 This would probably not have the same outcome in NY, let alone USA. Sorry to say, I'd say a lot of people would not even get past 1 minute of this ad to get to the point.
CDTA Posted November 17, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 17, 2012 Well that was roundabout.
Threxx Posted November 17, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2012 Yeah, but I agree. Many Americans won't have the attention spans to reach the end of the ad where the point is made. It is pretty hilarious though.

Chargerdodge9 Posted November 17, 2012 Share #8 Posted November 17, 2012 Funny ad, though many of the examples have nothing to do with Mass transit whatsoever.
Threxx Posted November 17, 2012 Share #9 Posted November 17, 2012 Funny ad, though many of the examples have nothing to do with Mass transit whatsoever. Like I said, most people wouldn't watch it until the end. The point is that moving in front of a train is just as stupid as the first ones, which anyone would agree are stupid... Donald Posted November 17, 2012 Share #11 Posted November 17, 2012 in England, their ads are the exact opposite:
4P3607 Posted November 17, 2012 Share #12 Posted November 17, 2012 in England, their ads are the exact opposite: Ive seen that picture before, except I just realized that it was advertising for a funeral home... If they wanted to advertise that video on Metro, they should at least just show the end part, its too long that people would watch it.
Chargerdodge9 Posted November 17, 2012 Share #13 Posted November 17, 2012 That R-62 icon of #1996, didn't the MTA scrap that car around 2001?
