Dorothy Zbornak 0 #1 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi! I'm new here (obviously, lol) I just had a question for anyone who can help me ou. How difficult or probably is i to get a customer care position at the MTA? I applied for 3 positions that I know Im qualified for. Customer service rep & Ticketing agent (closing date 11/04ish) and Customer Care relations specialist today. How long is the process and is there preferntial treatment to certain people? What can I do to increase my odds?
The TransitMan 338 #2 Posted November 20, 2012 I did not even know that those positions were available. What site did you find them at?
Truckie 374 #3 Posted November 25, 2012 Which branch of the MTA are you referring to? I know Metro North had CSR and Ticket seller postings in the not so distant past.

Truckie 374 #5 Posted November 28, 2012 The process length varies. One you apply then you have to take a test and fill out a more in depth application. Upon successful completion of the test a back ground test is done and then an interview. I've heard of people going through the entire process in as little as three months. It could also take considerably longer. Just keep in mind that the company receives thousands of applicants for these positions. Not everyone gets the opportunity to take the test.
