Turbo19 Posted August 27, 2013 Share #101 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Seems rather irrelevant now that the actual LACMTA is phasing out this "Express" scheme. Though I must admit Rockstar has been fairly detailed oriented over little fragments like this. Edited August 27, 2013 by Turbo19

Must got some foamers working over there at Rockstar.

That's what I was assuming, but reality is they probably had a team from Rockstar North head out to LA in an attempt to capture detail.
Grand Concourse Posted August 28, 2013 Share #104 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Would've been nice if gta 4 had the buses look more like the mta livery or even the command one. Edited August 28, 2013 by Grand Concourse
LTA1992 Posted August 28, 2013 Share #105 Posted August 28, 2013 Yeah, there are Orange, Red, and Blue buses seen throuht trailers and screens. And in a leaked video, Light Rail, which we suspected existed, was seen in motion. Almost there.
Orion VII 4 Life Posted August 31, 2013 Share #106 Posted August 31, 2013 There's GTAV ads on subway entrances now, and it looks like R* is sending people out to post R* and V logo stickers around town. I'll try to get some pics up later.

Grand Concourse Posted August 31, 2013 Share #109 Posted August 31, 2013 (edited) lol curbside ads now? What next, ads on gravestones or sewer grates? Edited August 31, 2013 by Grand Concourse
Turbo19 Posted August 31, 2013 Share #110 Posted August 31, 2013 lol curbside ads now? What next, ads on gravestones or sewer grates? Wouldn't surprise me. If anything it'd tie in to appealing to urban males.
Orion VII 4 Life Posted August 31, 2013 Share #111 Posted August 31, 2013 They're not really ads. Somebody just put a GTA V sticker and a Rockstar sticker on the sidewalk guard plate. The person was likely hired by R* to place them around town. I doubt anyone would have any other way of getting them.
Grand Concourse Posted August 31, 2013 Share #112 Posted August 31, 2013 Well what a waste of a good sticker then. It's not like they needed another mention with the ad there.
Guest Lance Posted September 3, 2013 Share #113 Posted September 3, 2013 It looks a bit too deliberate to have been done by some random person with a couple of Rockstar stickers. Also, IGN has posted its first look at the game. Check it out at the link below. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/03/world-first-hands-on-with-grand-theft-auto-v
Turbo19 Posted September 3, 2013 Share #114 Posted September 3, 2013 I remember how hyped up the previous GTA games were. Considering VI left me disappointed (to say the least) I think I'll wait off before picking up V.

DJ MC Posted September 4, 2013 Author Share #117 Posted September 4, 2013 Wonder if you can jack the Lightrail too. I hope so. The GTA V world is massive, so making everything driveable is the idea.
Minato ku Posted September 4, 2013 Share #118 Posted September 4, 2013 Grand Theft Auto V adverts are everywhere in Paris metro.
Grand Concourse Posted September 5, 2013 Share #119 Posted September 5, 2013 I remember how hyped up the previous GTA games were. Considering IV left me disappointed (to say the least) I think I'll wait off before picking up V. I agree, 4 was a disappointment compared to SA. I wanted more choices of cars and moding them. jacking the train and buying more properties would've been nice too. In 4 you can save up to 6 cars. I wanted to save at least one infernus in each location. I will give 4 props for the detail and allowing a few buildings to be explorable, but no contest SA is still better.
Minato ku Posted September 5, 2013 Share #120 Posted September 5, 2013 I wasn't disappointed by GTA IV, the game has a deep and vibrant environment. GTA San Andreas world was big but less lively. In GTA IV, you felt like you were in a real city. Combine the bigness and diversity of GTA San Andreas with the the deepness and detail of GTA IV and you will have a really good game.
Grand Concourse Posted September 5, 2013 Share #121 Posted September 5, 2013 I like how bast sa was and loved flying the planes or choppers. There was more variety in cars. I prefer that over the city feel. What i don't like is how insane it becomes when you get a lvl 3 wanted in gta 4. Unless you can find a 'pay n spray' before the cops see you, you are pretty much screwed as there is no way to get out of the circle. All it takes is one cop to spot you and you are back in the center of the circle again.

I've gotten a six level wanted star before and still managed to escape. Although I had to go throughout Broker before I reached the subway section and man did I get my ass shot at by those choppers. GTA IV was okay for me as I still played the game years after it was released. The two game episodes (Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and Damned) were a slight improvement.
Orion VII 4 Life Posted September 6, 2013 Share #123 Posted September 6, 2013 I'm really hoping they bring Cops n' Crooks or a similar game-mode to GTA V. I spent a lot of time playing that mode with some good people on Xbox 360 and let me tell you, there was a lot of tension and competition in that mode! It was great! I see most/all of the GTA4 online modes and more coming to V.
bobtehpanda Posted September 6, 2013 Share #124 Posted September 6, 2013 I hope they make some of the modded game modes into official things (like Busted. Busted was fun )

I've used the subways, but it was for a level 4. Will try it again on 6. I've never been able to get more than a lvl 5 naturally (without the cheat). What do you have to do to get a lvl 6? = I finally saw my first gta 5 bus ad. it was on a B82 og. = I hope 5 has the hunter back. I hate the annihilator. The twin machine guns suck (can't aim for shit) compared to the single nose mounted (I assume auto tracking) gun and hellfire missiles.
