B35 via Church Posted November 27, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2012 Never really liked the word mentor; it suggests to me that the person being influenced is some sort of charity case or something.... Inspiration is a better word - but to be frank, I don't look up to people.... What I will say is that my uncle taught me how to be a man when I was young..... Athletes & Entertainers, hell nah... If they don't wanna be seen as role models, t'hell with 'em as far as that goes..... (I never forgot that back in the day)
Shortline Bus Posted November 27, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2012 On a lighter note now: Who would you consider a mentor? A man or woman? Your girl? Close friend? Dad? As a sports nut in bit of a suprise i never idolized or worshipped anyone. Like all of us, sports stars are human and screw up like the rest of us. Thus the only person (other than God-It's my thread you dont have to agree lol)i worship is my mom. The others are my late Dad and older sister. That it. Maybe if i get a wife in near future it will change lol. On serious note in no order here are the 50 celebrities and historic figures i admire *but never worshipped.
