QM1to6Ave Posted December 10, 2012 Share #26 Posted December 10, 2012 I heard on 1010 wins that England has contacted the Australian law enforcement agency (whatever it is called) about an investigation into these 2 DJ's. Regardless of the suicide issue, they impersonated members of the royal family with the goal of acquiring private medical information. That is a very big no-no, and I bet that the English could turn this into a pretty strong case against the DJ's/

They are the 2 Sydney shock jocks on Australian version of 'Dateline NBC' or 20/20 to tell Aussies and the rest of the world their side of the story. After hearing their interview, IMO while they should not get "criminal charges"(I know some of you may disagree)but they should be fired from their jobs. Meanwhile their morning show has been cancelled and they probably on verge of being fired. http://www.usatoday....y-hoax/1757937/
Threxx Posted December 10, 2012 Share #29 Posted December 10, 2012 Honestly, everyone is being to hard on them. It was an honest mistake, and who would have expected them to give out the info, let alone the nurse commit suicide. They should be banned from doing this and reprimanded, but not fired. They've apologized... what more do people want?
Grand Concourse Posted December 10, 2012 Share #30 Posted December 10, 2012 It was still a dumb prank. But ftr, yes suspension/firing is the most appropriate course of action. And no I don't think they should be charged in the nurse's suicide. But that's not going to stop anyone from trying to sue them for 'damage' compensation. checkmatechamp13 Posted December 12, 2012 Share #31 Posted December 12, 2012 I don't think it was mentioned earlier, but she left a note. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2245881/Royal-hoax-nurse-Jacintha-Saldanha-left-note-family-Husband-demanding-answers-hospital.html I skimmed through the article, so I didn't see what the note said though. It's not the role in the nurse's death that will get them in trouble, it is the attempt to gain private medical information by using a false identity. That's a serious crime
Aussieinuk Posted December 19, 2012 Share #33 Posted December 19, 2012 It turns out there were other issues in the nurse's life. I think the prank call was enough to tiP her over the edge. A very sad incident.

Aussieinuk Posted December 20, 2012 Share #35 Posted December 20, 2012 So tell me, why did the telephone kill the nurse? The telephone incident combined with whatever else she was dealing with must have been " the final straw " for her. I don't suppose we will ever know . People commit suicide everyday. I think her superiors at the hospital gave her a much harder time than they care to admit.
