narnia0100 Posted December 21, 2012 Share #7 Posted December 21, 2012 Wait. Doesn't the Smith-9 Sts Station have a temporary construction platform or something like that? -Zachary

RFC Posted December 21, 2012 Share #9 Posted December 21, 2012 Thank you, Captain Obvious! I should really now just come out and add on to that and put "but wait there's more" Anyways lmfao
DJ MC Posted December 21, 2012 Share #10 Posted December 21, 2012 Hmmmm, delays on construction.... Now where have we seen this before? Second Avenue Subway is the best example out of anything that has been under construction that was delayed.
LTA1992 Posted December 21, 2012 Share #11 Posted December 21, 2012 Well sir, that really shouldn't count since the original delay is the only reason it hasn't been finished. Great Depression. If that hadn't happenned, I'd probrably use the SAS instead of the Lex now.

DJ MC Posted December 21, 2012 Share #13 Posted December 21, 2012 Well sir, that really shouldn't count since the original delay is the only reason it hasn't been finished. Great Depression. If that hadn't happenned, I'd probrably use the SAS instead of the Lex now. That is true, but when the MTA came in it was still never completed other then a few tunnels. Waiting for it 40+ years later.
LTA1992 Posted December 21, 2012 Share #14 Posted December 21, 2012 Well of course it wasn't completed. They tried building it when we were in a major financial decline. At least this time, there's progress.
Quill Depot Posted December 22, 2012 Share #15 Posted December 22, 2012 The should make the time twice as much as predicted. Then it looks like the is good and not slow on their work.
itmaybeokay Posted December 22, 2012 Share #16 Posted December 22, 2012 Wait. Doesn't the Smith-9 Sts Station have a temporary construction platform or something like that? -Zachary I take that line pretty often, and what's funny is that a temporary platform went up at smith 9th, and then came down without ever being used... Now, all the rail work is done, it's just station work. Bear in mind they were also renovating the whole culver viaduct and the interlocking up there as well. NYCRailfan523 Posted December 24, 2012 Share #17 Posted December 24, 2012 I've been waiting for that station to open and it's going to open in April 2013? I just hope it won't get delayed again even though I don't live in that part.
