Hello from Nice

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody and Merry Christmas,

I present myself : Laurent alias Megabus. I present myself : Laurent alias Megabus, why Megabus? It was the nickname of a bi-articulated buses that circulated in the streets of the city of Bordeaux (I used a lot).

I live in France, Nice exactly. I interested in everything related to transport (urban, more specifically), the French course but even more those countries I visit.

I want to share this passion with you, to learn (because we are still learning) and to share my knowledge.

Your large network New York is particularly attractive and I will visit in February, during a short week in your city.

I think I have a lot of questions and requests for information to ask you! :)

I wish you a Merry Christmas and see you soon.

Best regards,

Laurent

Hello friends,

Thank you for your welcome messages.

I'm glad not to be the only French or even the only foreigner on the forum.

This allows to compare each system and how to do and learn more.

have lots of questions to ask on your network.

I say to you very soon,

Laurent

PS: the first question : apparently I can't change things on my account (avatar, location, date of birth ...), it must wait until the administrator changes it or I should to ask him? Tahnk you for your help. ;)

Hi Minato ku,

Yes, these Megabus lack the Bordeaux urban view!

Some were bought (2 or 3) by a coach company from Lille and operated for transfers student to Belgians nightclubs. But they haven't done a long time: the buses were too slow: slanted at 50 km/h (31 m/h). He therefore preferred to roll former PR180.2 ex-RATP in their place.

One is stored in the museum's collection of AMTUIR and the prototype began to wither on the Heuliez yard was bought by a collector.

Are you original Japanese? Your name reminds me of a district in Tokyo Bay.

C. U. soon,

Laurent

No, I am just a fan of Japan but effectively Minato ku means Harbor ward.

There are a Minato ku in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

The Minato ku of Tokyo doesn't host anymore the port of Tokyo but it is one of central areas of Tokyo with many major districts of the Japanese capital.

Japan is a country I visit probably in future years. For many people this is a very mysterious and more attractive country.
