LIRR 154 Posted December 28, 2012 #4 Posted December 28, 2012 @lirr154 thanks i don't understand what u mean by own your job New Cams are open Cams meaning you can be sent to any yard or job your needed at. A bid sheet for jobs comes out every other month where you can bid for an open slot or job that's vacant. If you win that job or awarded it its your job until whenever you feel or unless you get bumped. Everything goes by seniority. Everything!
mastap123 Posted December 28, 2012 Author #5 Posted December 28, 2012 ok thanks i have a much better understanding now i appreciate
Brighton Local Posted March 6, 2013 #6 Posted March 6, 2013 I owned a job in long Island City 2 months ago. A week into the job I was bumped.. Wound up open in Richmond Hill.. Tonight was my last night there.. Off to A new Yard tomorrow..Since I own my new job, im hoping Ill get Overtime. But ya, if your an open CAM, most likely no overtime ( that is of course, all the people who own jobs above you/senior people) turn it down, then they come to the Open Cams before they exhaust the list..
ILLMATIC96SS Posted April 11, 2013 #7 Posted April 11, 2013 what are the requirements for the cam job application or was this a test ?
