This was my second time using SEPTA, both times I used Independence Pass which is a best bang for a buck. Otherwise there are tokens and metrocard like cards. Otherwise there are tokens and metrocard like cards. That is the best $11 for bus, trolley, trackless trolley, subway , EL and regional rail.
