New Flyer is on a roll, another 130+ for Phoenix over 1-3 years, though the models are undetermined. The last batch of C40LFR's were Suburban config.

I spoke to Joe Gibson, NABI bid the GEN III, as the RFP called out a steel frame, and NFI went ultra low on this one.  When the option comes up  in 2015, the 40' composite (Metro 40C) can then be bid against the XN40.  The XN40 was definitely in Phoenix, so look for those in 2015 !

Update on the NFI order. Some of the first buses are coming off the line as of late last month.

Granted, but the Compo's are in a class of their own. I'm looking this mainly as just another transit bus. Hopefully they won't age as much as the LFW's.

 

Now, an LFS CNG in the Local, or even better, the Rapid scheme. Damn, now that would be a nice fit for LA.

I just want to state for the record that the rims are not standard steel, rather they're aluminum with a black finish. Why Metro went with this I don't know, presumably it's just for aesthetics.

No, you're alright. Just clarifying for those under the impression the wheels are steel, similar to the MTA.
