Hope that you can all help in but as of today, July 27,2008, how many R160-B cars are now at Coney Island Yard along with the R40M and R40S.

Also, were anymore R42 cars from ENY Yard been transferred to Pitkin Yard, if there were transfers, how many R42 cars are now at both Pitkin and ENY and how many R160-A cars are at ENY Yard.

R160B cars are from 8713-9027 at Coney Island Yard

R160B cars# 9028-9042 are being tested now.

R42 cars 4550-4630 are on the Pitkin Yard (A)(C)

R42 cars 4631-4800?? are on East New York Yard (J)(L)(M)(Z), excluding the ones involved in the Chambers Street (M) wreck.

R42# 4840-4949 which ran on (A)(B)(D)(F)(G)(J)(L)(M)(N)(Q) and (W) have been retired.

I might have some of these numbers wrong here though. If I do please correct me.

Thank you for the corrections, this helps a lot, good to know that transit fans are collaborating

R160A runs on (L)(M)(N) and (Z) lines

R160B runs on (N) and (W).

I did not see an R160A run on the (W) as of yet.

R42's are non existent on the (M)? Then that means that the (M) is the first subway line fully R160!

Wow. Lucky (M), fully R160. Interesting! B)

The (W) is doing so good with those R160B cars

The (N) is pretty good too

The (L)'s R160 cars are doing just fine

The (Z)'s using the R160A's again

The R40 slant car update from last year

R40 slant cars no longer run on (N)(Q) and (W) lines

R40 slants still run on (B) and (D)*

About 100 R40 subway cars have been dumped, don't remember the numbers though, those have been torn off the subway cars

R40#4192-4193 are in the NYC Transit Museum, and I think that's signed up as a (F)

There are about just 100 R40 Slant cars left on the Coney Island Yard and signed up only for the (B).

*On occasion on Yankee Stadium games only.

As of now I can post line that trains are running on. But I can't post numbers.

R32: (A)(C)(F)(E) and sometimes on the (R)

R38: (A)(C)

Mixed R32/38 Sets: (A)(C)

R40S: (B) and on game day use on the (D)

R40M: (A)(B) and on game day use on the (D)

R42: (A)(J) and sometimes (Z)

Mixed R40M/42 Sets: (A) and (C)

R44: (A)(S) and SIRT

R46: (F)(G)(R) and sometimes (E)

R68: (D)(B) and one on the (Q)

R68A: (Q)(B) and very rarely the (N)

R143: Exclusively (L)

R160A: (N)(L)(M)(Z) and once in a blue moon the (J)

R160B: (N)(W) and soon the (Q)

Note: If anybody see R160Bs on the (D)(Q) or (R), they are REROUTES of the (N) and/or (W). If anybody sees R40Ms or R40Ss on the (N) and (W) they are being use as extra service during a G.O. Also, the (C) will be getting R40/42 sets by fall.

I need to make some corrections here

R68s appear on the (N) and (Q). (Q) has more than one R68 train set on it's line. I see this every day. A rare appearance of an R68 on (N)

I saw one R40 Slant on the (Q) Thursday during the railfan trip but couldn't get a picture. And I also saw an R38 (A) via Brighton Line heading Uptown for some reason and It was in service

There shouldn't be any R40S on (Q). An R38 only sees service on (A)(C) and has no regular service on the BMT Brighton line. You need to double check that R38 train.

Those cars aren't IN the museum, they're part of the museum fleet though but not on display. Last time I seen the pair one was signed up as a (N)ovember, can't remember what the other was signed up as, think it was as a (B)ravo...That set you seen signed up as a (F)ox last week or two weeks ago in the TM was R32's 3352-53...that set is "on hiatus" though with the return of the Arnines...

What they stick in there when the SMEEs come out to play is anybody's guess, I'm sure someone knows but they're not telling...
