Subway Route Lengths

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is somewhere else on here but I can't get the search to work.

I'm working on a series of posters (which some of you may have seen here) and I need to get the exact route length of each subway line as well as the total.  I'm just talking about revenue service length tracks.  Anyone know these stats?  Thanks.

PS I know those maps have tons of errors and typos, they are being fixed.

And you can't read WHY?

If you bothered to click on the link to the posters you will see there are statistics for each line.  I want them to be accurate.

Very cool maps. Just make sure they don't violate any copyrights, or the MTA lawyers might come after you (I'm not being overly dramatic, companies usually have lawyers that spend all day preventing copyright infringements.)

I'm upset that I missed this! Those posters are really nice! I hope this really takes off, because I'd like to get a couple. I have the Vignelli 2008 Subway diagram that was promoted by Men's Vogue and I think these posters would make a great addition!

Guys let this flamefest die, this thread starter has the potential to become a good discussion on the possibilities for transit needs in the future in NYC.

To the half of the people who took this thread seriously: the posters will be ready to go mid February or early March.  Keep an eye out on my website for an update.  And I already go the license from the MTA :)

You really should, too.

I am dearly sorry, Manuel Up Front. It seems more necessary for our fellow, Tim92 as of the moment.

Wow, the insults of a 12 year old.  I'm hurting so bad, boo-frickety-hoo.

To be fair, if the Depression + WWII hadn't pretty much killed the Second System off, this really wouldn't be an issue.
