lyolik2 Posted May 9, 2014 Share #201 Posted May 9, 2014 everyone gets their picture taken after medical, but the ID is given on the first day of Orientation once they start work. about the tickets. sometimes you can plea them to something less. and get less points. or plead guilty, then take a $60 point reduction course, if you havent had one within the past few years. Plea and have 10 points on my license but still work for transit or tell them I'm not interested right now! I'm so confused! When is the court date ? Take your name off the list, finish with the tickets and then ask to be put back on the list ( they have to do it up to 3 times ) Actually if the court date soon, maybe you can just ask them to reschedule the appointment. I do have a clean license as of now. it sucks that you cant be hired with pending tickets. Im so down over this since they told me ill be in the june 2nd class. I don't know what to do right now. lyolik2 Posted May 10, 2014 Share #205 Posted May 10, 2014 they dont have to call you 3 times. its not from the exam. even on the exam list, its a 1-in-3 rule, they can hire only 30% of the list. so they dont HAVE to hire you. the way they may look at it, is you drive recklessly that you have 10 points, then you will work carelessly and get injured on the job. they dont need that liability either. NYS points for cell are crazy. On too of that I have evidence that will have atleast one dismissed. I'm going to dmv and see what happens on Monday! DO NOT lie to MTA and do not steal from them, You will not get a second chance. Everything else you will get a second chance When is the court date ? LYOIL2: If this would be a TEST position then YES, You can take your name off the list and add your name back 3 times. THEY WILL call you ( as long as they are still calling from the list, and it has not expired yet ) 1 out of 3 rule has nothing to do with this. Anyone else know what happens if you miss the appt for the medical? can you reschedule? how many times are you allowed to reschedule? I am waiting for my call to medical and am worried because i am going away on vacation at the end of the month and dont want the two to coincide with each other. I mean its really not there issue. But to be fair i didn't know i was going to get called for a TA job when i booked it. But on the other hand i still need to give notice that i'm leaving at my current job. When I was there for the drug test they told me that when i got through medical and talk to employment about start date they will work with me. I just wanted to know about the medical, because I don't want to get the call when i am away and i get disqualified for some reason.
