Sorry for no pictures but I had no time to take them. Around 8 to 9PM today, I was by 4th Avenue when out of nowhere I saw a four car R68 pull from the express tracks heading for Smith-9 Street. The rollsigns were changing before my eyes. From (G) to (D)!!! No joke, swear on my grave.

About few minutes later, an R32 (F) passed then right behind it, coming from the express tracks two was a R160B with what sounded like Semiens population. It had the sign saying not in service. My father thought I was crazy when I freaked at the sight of the 68.

first i believe nothing. i'm not a idiot. i beleive the R68 part but R160 at night on another line no. the trians line that have acess is the (N)(W) and there is no conncetion of both lines from queens to (F). so if this is all a hoax next time think of better and more logical lies.

R160B's aren't supposed to run on the (F), well that must be a test train, Maybe this might mean the (F) might get an R160 train, who knows?

R68 on (G) or (D) ? That's very strange, do you remember what car number it was?

It must either be a testing train of R68 cars. Maybe the R68's will run on the (G)? That's a theory. It has to be a test train because I am not accustomed to seeing R68's run on (F) Culver line, although I've seen (D) trains rerouted through that line, no joke. You raised a pretty good topic discussion.

Maybe the (F) might get an R160 train, but that's not been set as of yet, and not anytime soon.

Thank for saying I starting good talk. But no joke, it was a 68. I think it was in service but I couldn't tell you. I wish the (G) would get some R160s. It was only five cars tho.

R160B's are going to (Q) in the Fall of 2008. If a (G) train of R160B cars were to operate it's only going to be only five cars. That's just a proposal. After all the (G) train needs frequency increases, therefore it would make sense to have some R160B's on the (G).

This was long ago, but I have ridden an R68 (F) train on a couple of occasions so seeing them on that line is no surprise, plus as someone previous said, West End Trains (which is now the (D)) get rerouted over the Culver Line at times.

And when all things are said and done the (G) is supposed to have R68 trains running on them anyways, right. The (B)(D) and (G) trains will have those, the (A)(C) will have the R46, the (L) the R143 & R160, and the other routes will have the R160 or R179.

What im not understanding is How R-68's ended up on the (G)....the (G) gets its cars from Jamaica Yard (i think), which is the home of R-32's/R-46's...why would they cut an 8 car train of R-68's (which are based out of Coney Island and Concourse Yards) from the (B)(D)(N)(Q) lines in half and send it to the (G) line....the only way I could see an R-68 ending up on the (G) is if a train on the (N)(Q) happened to end up on the Queens Blvd Line and sent down the (G) as a put-in on its way back to Coney Island....but if that were to happen, it would be a 8-car set....wouldn't it:confused:

Thats exactly what it was.

And the 68, probably a train trying to find its way to 6th Avenue.

Not trying to sound like a smart azz, but I never saw a four car (D) even on late nights. To tell you the truth, and this is going to sound demented but I think it was on service on the (G).

It could've be on its way to Concourse and it came out easily from Coney Island Yard via Culver.
