Amtrak7 Posted January 27, 2013 Share #3 Posted January 27, 2013 I'm surprised they sent the via Brighton instead of Culver. And how would a problem on 4 Av BMT cause the to be rerouted?

Subwayfan12 Posted January 27, 2013 Share #6 Posted January 27, 2013 I would've sent the via Culver and the via Brighton. That's just too much congestion on one line. Nice pics though

overclocked Posted January 27, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted January 27, 2013 I would've sent the via Culver and the via Brighton. That's just too much congestion on one line. Nice pics though It was very short G.O. also Brighton line has more capacity on weekends than during the week and has access to another set of tracks at Coney Island which Culver doesn't. PATCOman Posted January 28, 2013 Share #14 Posted January 28, 2013 That D was already in Brooklyn so that was why it was not rerouted over the Culver. Note how the automated announcement leaves out "New York Aquarium".
Guest Lance Posted January 28, 2013 Share #15 Posted January 28, 2013 That D train wanted to go back to its old stomping grounds. @PATCOman: Apparently, they left the original announcement on the N via Brighton options because the recording for West 8 St was replaced on the Q with the one from the F line.
