This does jack shit if MTA doesn't enhance or add their own services and non-manhattan bound LTD or expressbus lines. Cmon man. really from where to where may I ask? Last time I had a transit trip that long was when I was going to somewhere in philly from my house in brooklyn. Whatever google told you must of been a really err stupid route or something beyond nuts. Google was a little off but South east Queens Area to White Plains. 30-40 min car ride. too long by public transportation even if google was wrong. We were picking someone up along the way. The local streets were congested as well. Passing over the Van Wyck Expressway on Roosevelt Avenue, I could see that there was a lot of traffic in the northbound direction as well. In other words, traffic traffic everywhere. Yep, There are days where there is just traffic everywhere, especially when its raining out. Google Maps helps you see this ahead of time, , the The Whitestone Bridge could have been backed up down past Northern Blvd. However, If you take the Van Wyck from the Belt Parkway you don't have to stay on the Van Wyck since the Grand Central is parallel to it between Kew Gardens and Northern Blvd. In that situation you switch over to the Grand Central and get off at Northern Blvd. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
