ttcsubwayfan Posted February 19, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 19, 2013 Good catch! I seem to recall that, some years back, R68As were reasonably common on the and lines on weekends, since the doesn't run then. What's changed??
RollOver Posted February 19, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 19, 2013 Good catch! I seem to recall that, some years back, R68As were reasonably common on the and lines on weekends, since the doesn't run then. What's changed?? Of course. Last summer back in 2011, the and did had R68/68As numerous times on the weekends due to the R160s needed maintenance.

Mr Railfan Posted February 19, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted February 19, 2013 Cool catch! I must have missed it by little. Are they still out there? Hopefully, I think it might have been a last minute put in cause half the cars were still signed up as a and looks like they rushed through putting up the correct destinations on the rollsigns. Grand Concourse Posted February 20, 2013 Share #8 Posted February 20, 2013 Good catch! I seem to recall that, some years back, R68As were reasonably common on the and lines on weekends, since the doesn't run then. What's changed?? With the Q extended to Astoria-Ditmars, it has 2 terminals and I think it's why it has to be all R160. N since it doesn't change terminals, can be whatever is available from the yard. Ideally both lines would be all R160 so that at Ditmars the crews can take a train for either line and save time with the sign change.
