Because somehow one of the power cables supplying power to the signals from 90th St to Flushing Main St conveniently burned out or went missing (according to a friend who works the Flushing Line as a T/O)....

EDIT: Just saw that there was no service to Flushing, so the shuttles are just running from 74th Street to Flushing.

These look so orderly compared to some of Greg Mocker's photos at 74 St, where mobs fill the sidewalk and street much like the Sandy bus bridge.
